I cant find the new HWT on your website :(
@Blueyedlizard10 - Try these links... www.rainbowresource.com/048057.html (Student) and www.rainbowresource.com/048056.html (Teacher).
I wish you all had a starter pack for preschool
Give us a call at (888) 841-3456 or chat with us online (www.rainbowresource.com). We have free curriculum consultants that would be happy to help you put together something for your preschooler. We're available 8:30-5:00 CST.
Do you recommend doing this along side the FIAR curriculum?
@SaraiDeLaCruz-e9d If you desire to study more history, especially in a chronological fashion, you could certainly add Story of the World to FIAR. Particularly for an older child. FIAR does include social studies activities, but not to the degree or depth Story of the World will cover it.
@@rainbowresource thank you, i was wondering if the social studies would be enough history for the first years or if it was chronological at all. But thanks I will most likely be adding it in starting next year.
I always love your videos! Everything looks amazing! What kind of student would best benefit from the Rod and Staff Language arts??
@megancarson8254 Thanks for that! We hope that these videos help families find good matches for their students. This level would be a good fit for a student who is reading and writing at grade level or above. This is straight-forward instruction with a lot of review throughout the year; students will be challenged but in a manageable way. The wall charts will provide cues for review. There are 143 lessons, so some wiggle room. The publisher recommends for the first few weeks of school, focusing on just math and language arts. ~ Ruth
@@rainbowresource Thank you for getting back to me!
Hello, Rainbow Resource friends! Thank you for helping homeschoolers find the resources they need.
Our pleasure!
Thanks for sharing. I definitely love the Home EC and shop class.
Thanks for watching!
You ladies are doing a terrific job!❤️
@DawnCurrier Thanks!
Are there samples of the online features so we can look at them.
We do not have a sample yet for Vamos! and En camino! programs, but there is sample for the original curriculum Breaking the Spanish Barrier on the publisher's website. learn.tobreak.com/books/spanish/beginner/sample/
I hope no more teachers with Rings in their eyes, NOSE , bead in parts of the face, and tongue, hair colors. Dressing like they slept in their clothes for a week. Sloppy flip flop shoes. TOO MANY LOUD MOUTH MOTHERS played the RACE Card and had the Education Standards far too long. Resulting in Dumbing education down. TESTING FOR DYSLEXIA , I went through HELL before school then again by adult teachers using some kids as Examples , and then the other KIDS laugh , then out on the playground, then again at home, how come we are so STUPID , SO DUMB. SLAMED AROUND , grounded. TOM CRUZ is DYSLEXIC, Famous THE FONZ DYSLEXIC, still can not read nor write. but men are more supportive than women, and Henry Winkler has written several books. FOUNDER OF IKEA, DYSLEXIC. Famous Einstein DYSLEXIC, but many are not with that High of IQ>
This was great! The one thing I would add in the future is images (or hold the books up) for the different curriculums. Especially for us visual learning adults. 😅
@CondorsCroft - Great suggestion! We will definitely add more visuals in future videos. Hope you were able to check out the full workshop on our channel!
I like how you have the commentary on as well
Can the children use only the online version or do they need to have all the pieces of the curriculum?
The online resources would be incomplete without the student book and answer key.
I LOVE your curriculum guides so much!❤
I'm so glad!
I am 13 years old and I'm really interested in Latin. I bought this book on Kindle and I found this book extremely informative and easy-to-digest. Thank you so much for making learning fun!
Nancie- curriculum consultant here, realizing I should have mentioned that these “porn proofing” books are not religious, they’re written more from a “keeping your brain and body healthy” standpoint- by doctors and scientists. So Christian families may want to add godly encouragement from scripture as well.
Thank you for sharing all this wonderful information. It helps to see a visual of these books before deciding which one to get for our child.
You are so welcome!
Can we have a video more in depth on grammar castle? Looks amazing please
@daisyrios6463 - I will pass along your request and see if we can get this added to our project queue. If you have any specific questions concerning Grammar Castle, that you'd like to know right away, feel free to reach out to our free curriculum consultants via phone or chat on our website. They are happy to answer your questions. They can be reached at (888)841-3456 or by chat via our website www.rainbowresource.com
Wow awesome ! I have a 2nd grader and 10th grader…Hope this works for us !
@kita3256 - We would enjoy hearing how it works for you!
This is the best detailed description of Handwriting Without Tears that I have seen on RUclips; most of what I've seen are homeschool moms talking about what is done in the workbooks. You discussed books as well as demonstrated using songs, chalkboards, playdough, wooden and magnetic pieces, and using cards. Thank you for being so thorough. My adult son continues to struggle with dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia. He was in grade school before the internet when it was extremely difficult to find materials made for his type of learning. Thank you for sharing this !
@lisawood7589 - It is stories like yours that keep up motivated to keep doing what we do! Thank you so much for sharing, we are thrilled you found our video helpful.
Thanks for doing these episodes, ladies!
@intoalivinghope - Our pleasure!
Great video. Thank you for sharing. I hadn’t heard of any of these resources.
@kiras7874 - Thanks! We are thrilled that you joined us.
The handwriting books should be available in pdf form
This is one of our favorite curriculums! ❤
I love the memories my family has made with learning from FIAR!
We love FIAR in our home. Rainbow Resource is my #1 place to purchase curriculum and supplies, I thank you for all your support.
Us too! We've used them for lots of years and they are awesome!!!!
@Dreblueskies - Thanks so much, it is our pleasure!
This book has kindergarten
I've loved using Your Business Math! I'll be adding some science comics for my youngest with dyslexia for sure!
We're happy to hear that you have enjoyed using Your Business Math - they are great programs! Thank you for commenting and for checking out this week's C&C video!
I was wondering what books you use for your son who has dyslexia? Just finding out that my 13 yr. old son has signs of it and I'm never sure what to use for science or history. Thanks.
@@rainbowresourcewhat age are the science comics?
@@momof9 My daughter has pretty severe dyslexia and ADHD. So far we've used Berean Builders and Beautiful Feet Science with Nature. I do all the reading aloud and allow her to narrate what she's learned. She loves art (most kids with dyslexia are creative), so drawing what she's learned along with copywork of what she's dictated that I've written out helps. I also do a lot of hands on experiments, observations, and documentaries.
@@annaleighadams thanks for responding. He's working with a tutor for reading and they're working on phonics and writing sentences. I never realized what it meant to have dyslexia. I do read out loud and he likes drawing. Haven't tried having him draw pictures from what we have read. I think I'm going to try the science comics for him too.
This was so incredibly helpful - I am so grateful for all of you at Rainbow Resource!
I wish you guys had a video on English Lessons Through Literature
@peach-reina - Thank you for your suggestion, we will look into adding this curriculum to our video production queue.
@@rainbowresource Spelling Lessons Through Literature would be great too! Thank you for noticing my comment 😊
@peachy_reina - Absolutely! Are there any specific questions have regarding these programs?
@@rainbowresource I have been using Logic of English Foundations with my 5 and 7 year olds, but wanted something more to the point. Reading and Spelling Lessons Through Literature send like it could be a good switch, but I'm not sure how user friendly it is. Also, I'm wondering if we would have to start all over with phonograms.
@peachy_reina - If you're needing answers quickly, we have a curriculum consultant team available by phone or online chat. They are a free service we provide to the homeschool community. You can reach them by phone at (888)841-3456 or via online chat on our website www.rainbowresource.com . They will be able to answer you questions about these two programs.
Does your family have some fun summer learning traditions!
Your conversation was so enjoyable! I am a veteran homeschooling mom, but I am still involved with the community. I teach Physics at a local co-op and I love to hang out after my class to chat with younger moms. I also love talking to those who seek advice when I travel to conventions.
Individuals like you who have done your part in paving the way for the homeschool community, but continue to be a resource and support, are a real treasure. Thank you for all that you do!
Is the Math in Focus 2020 common core?
According to the publisher, it meets and exceeds current state standards. There will also be STEAM activities. If you have any additional questions, feel free to call (888 841 3456) or chat (www.rainbowresource.com) with a our free curriculum consultant team.
What a lovely conversation with three beautiful ladies. Thank you! ❤
Thanks for much for joining us!
Please do an updated version. This was very useful.
This looks great!
This sounds great
My daughter is 6 1/2 years old and she's got special needs and she doesn't know how to read write or spell
It can be challenging to learn these skills when it doesn't come natural to kiddos. Would you mind sharing a little more information about your daughter and the extent of her challenges? Feel free to email us at consultants@rainbowresource.com - We would love to help you find some useful resources. We have a team of curriculum consultants that are available for free.
Also absolutely love your channel and these videos!
Thanks so much!
Training aliens, can that be for an only child too?
I think you could still enjoy reading, discussing, and learning from the video lessons and book stories! The activities are geared for a group, but I think parents could modify them for an individual child or small family, and still get valuable practice with important social and emotional skills. :)
@@nancieham5766 thanks so much!
What does your homeschool's summer months look like? How do you keep your child's learning wheels turning?
I am really enjoying this series, thank you ladies!!! Can you please do a deep dive into Castle Grammar....I cant find any good youtube videos or reviews on it :) It seems like such a fun curriculum.
You are welcome, we enjoy having you join us! Thanks for sharing your request for a deep dive. It is such a cool program and it would be great to get more information out there about it. If you have any specific questions about it, you are always welcome to reach out to us by phone (888 841 3456), by chat on our website (www.rainbowresource.com), or by email (consultants@rainbowresource.com). We are happy to answer any questions you have regarding Grammar Castle.
This could be very helpful for kids with executive function issues, who struggle with planning, organization, time management, and staying on task!
It's great that you mention executive function because when we completed the filming of this episode, we were talking about how we should have discussed that connection.
Our system does help students who struggle with planning and organization/time management! They learn a complete system that helps them organize their study habits within a framework that is easy to remember. We teach students to organize their goals and action plans according to three foundational questions: where am I now, where do I want to be, and how do I get there? We teach them to set goals that then help keep them motivated to stay the course.
What study skills methods have you taught to your children? Is this an area you have focused on in your homeschool?
I love this!
@joyiasells4810 - Thanks for joining us!
Please let us know if we can help!
What a fun video and idea!
Thanks so much!
I love your curriculum catalogs, we are pretty solid on what we use every year but I swear your catalogs get looked at over and over and over in our home!
That is wonderful to hear!
I was so disappointed that you weren’t at the Missouri GHC this year. 😢
We were sorry to miss the St. Charles' community this year as well. As we put together our exhibit plan for the year, St. Charles' filled up before we were able to get our registration in. It is great to see all the interest in that convention and we will try to get our registration in earlier next year!
These look wonderful! ❤
I love those Entrepreneur kits. There is so much to offer and it tells you what's inside so you can choose which one you want before purchasing.
Absolutely! They really are an excellent all-inclusive way to encourage that entrepreneurial spirit.
Do you have any questions or specific products you would like us to discuss in future episodes? Leave us a comment, we would enjoy hearing from you!
